Altra’s newest road shoe, the Duo, features a perfect pairing of maximum cushioning and minimal weight. With a 31mm stack height and a weight of 7.9 ounces for men and 5.9 ounces for women, the cushion-to-weight ratio is hard to beat.
To keep the Duo as light as possible, the upper is made from a thin, breathable reinforced material ideal for breathability and draining water. A new pillow tongue made of Nubuck suede prevents “lace bite” on the instep, for a secure, but comfortable, fit. A rubber outsole with a foam midsole keeps the Duo’s base lightweight, yet durable and flexible. Color options are blue/yellow, red/black and navy/orange for men and blue/yellow, purple/orange and black/pink for women.
With Altra’s signature FootShape™ toe box and Zero Drop™ platform, the Duo’s cushy but light fit is perfect for two different consumers. Runners will love the combination for ultras, marathons and long run training. For the launch of the Duo, Altra partnered with Fleet Feet Sports for an exclusive, early sale. The Duo will only be sold at Fleet Feet until its market-wide launch on March 15.
