Bjorn Riley’s SCOTT Spark RC, a Bike Worthy of a National Champion.

When you are a National Champion, in the cycling world that usually means a custom bike, and Bjorn Riley’s SCOTT Spark RC is not exception.. Actually it is an excaption, as Bjorn designed this bike himself. The reigning U.S. National Champion and professional mountain biker for the SCOTT-SRAM team has just presented in detail the special edition of the SCOTT Spark RC World Cup that he has customized with his own artistic style. This bike celebrates both his national title and his first year competing in the pro ranks.

A native of Boulder, Colorado, Riley stood out greatly in the U23 category in 2024, with victories in the World Cup events in Les Gets, winning both in Short Track (XCC) and Olympic Cross Country (XCO), in addition to accumulating numerous podiums throughout the season. His jump to the elite scene in the US was sealed by winning national titles in both disciplines during the Championship held in Macungie, Pennsylvania, in July of the same year.

Riley is known not only for his exceptional technical ability and competitive aggressiveness, but also for his creativity and unique style, both on and off the track. It is common to see him surprise with unexpected maneuvers during races, such as his characteristic jumps touching the front wheel. In addition, he naturally combines his roles as an athlete and an artist.

To commemorate these successes, Riley has collaborated directly in the graphic design for his bike, which he describes with enthusiasm: “This is my bike, I mean it really is MY bike. I have dreamed of this moment since I was a child. This bike will give me that final push needed in the last lap when I am suffering.”

For SCOTT-SRAM’s Bjorn Riley, his Scott Spark RC World Cup race bike comes with a pretty special setup featuring RockShox Flight Attendant Suspension System, SRAM XX T-Type Eagle AXS Drivetrain, all-new SRAM Motive brakes, Syncros Fraser iC SL combo and the Syncros Tofino saddle. Talk about a tricked out bike, this rig checks all the boxes. While this rig is priceless, if we had to put a value on it, the price would be over $15,000 not including the custom paint job.
