Smart Kids, Savvy Seniors, Travelers with Flexible Schedules Save Big this Spring at Great Ohio Lodges
With the curtain closing on a brutal winter, there are already signs of spring in Ohio’s acclaimed state parks, and getaway-seekers who are anxious to witness the awakening of the season will find a variety of ways to save on stays at Great Ohio Lodges.
Situated in state parks throughout Ohio, the lodges offer comfortable lodging, full-service dining and a range of indoor and outdoor recreational offerings. And the parks offer an array of programs to welcome the season, like maple syrup-tapping events, fishing programs, birdwatching, and ranger-led nature hikes and even events such as the Salt Fork Challenge.
“If the maple syrup is flowing, the fish are biting, warblers are singing and the wildflowers are blooming, spring has arrived in Ohio state parks,” said Tom Arvan, director of state parks for Regency Hotel Management, operator of the lodges. “A state park getaway can do wonders to mitigate the cabin fever we all experience after a harsh winter, and with a lineup of spring deals, a visit is affordable as well as rejuvenating.”
Lodges are located in Burr Oak, Deer Creek, Hueston Woods, Maumee Bay, Mohican, Punderson, Salt Fork and Shawnee state parks. Great Ohio Lodges also operates the Geneva Marina in Geneva State Park.
