DelMoSports Bringing all Female Sprint Triathlon Back to Fairmount Park July 2018
DelMoSports has announced their first major-market event, the Inaugural Women’s Philadelphia Triathlon. This sprint triathlon will be held on Sunday, July 8th in Fairmount Park and will be the only all-women’s tri in the city. The Women’s Philadelphia Triathlon is unique as the entire 400 meter swim will be in the historic Kelly Pool. The course will include a 9 mile bike course along Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd and a 3.1 mile run through the Horticultural Center and around the Please Touch Museum in Fairmount Park.
Bringing back an event for women to the city of “Brotherly Love” is fulfilling a dream for the Founder/CEO of DelMoSports, Stephen Del Monte. He hopes the event will inspire and encourage more women to discover their inner strength by training for and completing a triathlon.
“DelMoSports’ mission from day one has been to provide world class events along the Southern Jersey shore and we’ve done that,” said Del Monte. “Now we are moving into new, but familiar, territory and cannot wait to establish our brand of triathlon to Philadelphia which hasn’t hosted an all-female triathlon in over 5 years. There are amazing all women’s triathlon clubs in our region and we can’t wait to put together an incredible event for them.”

TBI also voted Escape the Cape as a Top 5 Bucket List Event.
