A Bespoke Local Titanium Gravel Build

We always like to highlight bespoke brands, and in this case this local bike boutique is building some great wheelsets and creating custom builds in Akron, Ohio. Here we are highlighting a semi custom titanium gravel build and a solid carbon wheel build. 226 wheels are built in Akron, Ohio and are something of start up bike boutique that owner Kevin Butler began as a labor of love. The titanium frame below was built by Sanitas Cylces in Durango Colorado and brought to Ohio as part of collaboration with 226.

Those local to the Front Range of Colorado may be familiar with the name “Sanitas”. It is a local hotspot of the athletes located in Boulder, Colorado. This mountain has two ways up to the top. One path is a slow gradual grade up over a few miles comprised of small cobbles and pea-gravel. The other path is full large rocky steps with steep and stout grade to the top. Sanita feel that this is symbolic to the cycling industry. They have no opinions or preference on how you get to the top as long as you get there. That is what the brans is here for, to provide a unique experience and create special moments on the way to the top of the mountain, whatever that may be for you.

Sanitas is currently headquartered in Durango, Colorado and this analogy is only amplified in this land of the extremes, nestled in the rugged San Juan mountains. Casual outdoor enthusiasts are constantly surrounded by professional level athletes. Whether you are on a training ride or just out for fun they want to provide an experience to help everyone achieve their personal goals. Sanitas aims to provide the top-fuel professional level bike experience to all of our customers. This bespoke collaboration with 226 reflects this same ethos – get outside and play, have fun, enjoy the journey.
