Big Agnes helps hikers with a dream. The brand will sponsor three thru-hikers in 2025 – one hiker for each of the three major thru-hikes in the USA. The Steamboat Springs-based outdoor equipment brand, will support three hikers who share the brand’s commitment to caring for the environment and enjoy spending time outdoors. The program will sponsor three ambitious thru-hikers, each one tackling a major trail in the United States – the Appalachian Trail, the Continental Divide Trail, and the Pacific Crest Trail.

The 2025 Thru Hike Sponsorship aims to support individuals who share the same passion while promoting responsible trail use and environmental consciousness. The brand would like to support the members of the community that not only enjoy the outdoors, but advocate for protecting them and making them more inclusive for future generations.

Who Should Apply?
Big Agnes encourages any hikers who plan to thru-hike one of the three major US trails—the Appalachian Trail, the Continental Divide Trail, or the Pacific Crest Trail in 2025 to apply.
Key criteria for applicants include:
- Planning to thru-hike one of the three major US trails in 2025.
- Commitment to Leave No Trace principles and environmental stewardship.
- Enthusiastic about sharing their journey on Instagram and/or TikTok.
- Embracing diversity and inclusion on the trail.
- 18 years of age or older, residing in the USA or Canada.
How Big Agnes will Support
The selected applicants will receive full gear kits from Big Agnes including tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, backpack, and apparel ensuring they have the equipment needed to thrive on the trail. Additionally, they will benefit from ongoing gear support and trail assistance from the Big Agnes team throughout their journey. The program is designed to enhance each ambassador’s hiking experience while spotlighting their adventures across social platforms to inspire and engage the broader outdoor community.
