The Olukai Kohala is constructed with a full grain water-resistant leather that wards off mud, snow, rain and puddles alike. The Kohala is water-resistant thanks to the full grain leather, not a synthetic material, it is not a waterproof boot and does not feature a waterproof lining. It was easy to make this one of our favorite boots for daily adventures.
The Kohala Boot features a similar construction and look to your grandfather’s factory or logging boots, but that is where it ends. This boot is ready to perform out of the box with no break-in period. Wanna talk comfort? Try wearing this boot for a day without socks? No blisters or odd rubbing spots, it is like wearing a comfy pair of slippers on your feet. Slippers that say “Rugged Man Boot” all over them. And when you are done being all tough and outdoorsy, the OluKai Kohala will look good in your favorite craft beer bar and skinny jeans as well.
The rugged outsole of the Olukai Kohala offers traction in all seasons and all terrains. Deep enough to get traction in mud, but also a soft enough compound for covering rocky terrain. It also features a non-marking rubber outsole just in case you want to wear them in gym class.
