The rooms in the Chateau are something to write home about. With 124 elegant rooms, the Chateau Lafayette features vaulted ceilings with crown molding, crystal chandeliers and two-story Palladian windows.
Snow was in the forecast so the pools were closed. It looks like we might need to do some exploring in the summer. The property also offers an indoor lap pool and indoor kids pool.
Swim year round and put in the miles. Nemacolin offer a 25 meter lap pool for the ambitious visitors.

Summer is fun, but winter also offers some great activities such as clay shooting, skiing, trail running, Jeep off-roading, and exploring the region. You will not get bored.
Nemacolin has it’s own version of a zoo and it’s pretty nice! Some of the wild life you may see are: red sheep, bears, bison, zebra, a bengal tiger, lions and wolves! Bonus: Many of the animals on the property were rescued from failing zoos and are unable to return to the wild.
20-miles of rugged trails and terrain await you on the expansive property. Our favorite part, you can use their Jeeps.
The Jeep Rubicon came out rather clean, considering all the trails we hit.

To get in some trail running and mountain biking you need to venture a few miles away from the property but if you are into trap shooting fly fishing, they the field club is the spot for you.
It may not have pedals but this old school Harley Davidson is pretty sweet.
