Watch Jim Walmsley Run the Grand Canyon

You thought the Midwest had some hills? Check out this video of Jim Walmsley en route to a new Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim record

Earlier this week, Jim Walmsley set a new record for the double crossing of the Grand Canyon (also known as Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim), besting Rob Krar’s 2013 record by an astounding 26-and-a-half minutes.

This video, by Run Steep Get High, picks up at the North Rim, the halfway point. (Walmsley also set a record for the Canyon’s single crossing.) It then follows him during the long descent back into in the Canyon, which he makes look maddeningly easy.

Our legs hurt just thinking about it!
