Pro Football Hall of Fame Marathon

The Pro Football Hall of Fame Marathon is entering its third year in Canton, Ohio. Race weekend begins Friday, April 22nd with the Health & Wellness Expo at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Open to the public, everyone gets an opportunity to check out some of the best in running related services and products, as well as meet a few of our great community partners.

Saturday, April 23rd kicks off at 8am with the Gold Jacket 5K featuring our Nationally recognized finisher medal – a Championship Ring the size of a tennis ball! Keep tabs on our website (www.hofmarathon.com) to see which Hall of Famer will be at the finish line to give you a high five as you cross the line! The Health & Fitness Expo continues on Saturday from 9am until 6pm. Remember all registered runners get into the Pro Football Hall of Fame for FREE!

Finally on Sunday, April 24th, the main stage event – The Pro Football Hall of Fame Marathon, Half Marathon, and Five Person Team Relay – kicks off at 7am from Don Scott Field adjacent to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Runners can expect great community support, a football themed course, and super cool SWAG at the finish including our finisher medal and a fleece finisher blanket.

18th Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon

The 18th Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon weekend powered by P&G is slated for April 29-May 1, 2016. The Marathon is one of the Top 20 Running Festivals in America and has been named one of the Top 10 “Most Fun Runs” in the World by Runner’s World magazine. Registration is now open for all events at www.FlyingPigMarathon.com.

The Flying Pig weekend has events for athletes of any and all abilities, from the Pampers Diaper Dash to the full and half marathon and relays on Sunday.

The “Pig” also promotes activities and fitness year-round with events such as the Christian Moerlein Beer Series (Bockfest 5K on March 5, Little Kings Mile over Flying Pig weekend on April 29 and Hudepohl 14K and 7K on September 17), and the Queen Bee Half Marathon on October 8.

Mercy Health Glass City Marathon

The 40th annual Mercy Health Glass City Marathon takes place on Sunday, April 24, 2016 in Toledo, Ohio.  To celebrate this major milestone, several anniversary surprises are in store including course changes to accommodate a larger race field including a new start and finish line.  Tributes to past winners will be present throughout the race course. Commemorative finisher medals will also celebrate this milestone.   The Mercy Health Glass City Marathon course consistently ranks among the top 25 fastest courses in the United States in qualifying runners to Boston, while the Owens Corning Half Marathon was recently voted among the top 10 fastest courses in the Midwest. A Health and Wellness Expo takes place on Saturday, April 23rd and features over 40 exhibitors.

Since 2009, Toledo Roadrunners Club has raised over $300,000 for area non-profits through the Glass City Marathon.  Through a careful selection process, partner status is awarded to programs or organizations who are aligned with the TRRC’s constitutional purpose which is “to educate Club members and the community about physical fitness and health through the sponsorship and promotion of running, physical fitness and other health related events.”  The 2016 Mercy Health Glass City Marathon is a family event offering multiple runs to fit every level of participant including a Marathon, the Owens Corning Half Marathon, 5-Person Marathon Relay Presented by YARK Subaru, Medical Mutual 5K and the Findley Davies Kid’s Marathon.  For more information and to register on line visit: www.glasscitymarathon.org.
