We found this video online and had to share it. German student director Eugen Merher produced this commercial titled “Break Free,” that captures the spirit of running. No dialogue, the commercial shares the story about a former marathon runner whose body and soul are decaying in a retirement home, until he finds an old pair of Adidas.
Merher, a 26-year-old student at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, told The Huffington Post that he tried sending it to Adidas’ communications department, but hasn’t heard back.
It’s a fun, motivating feel-good message about how you can never be too old for a run.
